Fly me to the Moon
The only South Australian to be part of the FIRST commercial payload to The Moon in December 2023, Visual Artist, Dianne Gall’s work will be digitised onto nickel-based Nanofiche and stored permanently in Moon Boxes as part of the Peregrine Collection.
Dr Samuel Peralta, Canadian Physicist and Author initiated a project to digitise Art, Music, Literary works and store them permanently on the Moon and called it the Lunar Codex. Dr Peralta worked with many Artists, writers and creators across the globe including Figurative Visual Contemporary Art via Didi Menendez, USA based publisher of PoetsArtists.
Astrobotic’s Peregrine Mission One is carrying 21 payloads from governments, companies, universities, and NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative and part of NASA’s Artemis Program and launches DECEMBER 24, 2023, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida via the United Launch Alliance Vulcan Centaur.
